#237 – Songbird Sawtooth Baby Quilt

I spent a lot of time determining the fabric placement to create a ring effect of color around the star. The fabric line, Songbird, has cobolt blue, mustard gold, orange, slate, and black colors. It features suns, birds, flowers, and a few plaids. These colors are so rich in real life. I’ll need to take better pictures. The pattern cleverly uses HSTs from charm squares to create the star and makes the border a snap to sew together.

I decided a new e2e design called Flight would add a modern touch to the quilt. If you look closely, there is bird motif “flying” to the upper right corner of the photo.
